Boston Freedom Trail Stop 15-Bunker Hill

Boston Freedom Trail

Stop 15: Bunker Hill

It stopped raining when we got to Bunker Hill. The Battle of Bunker Hill was one of the bloodiest battles in the Revolutionary War in 1775. Today, the 221 foot granite obelisk commemorates the site of the first major battle of the war.

Nathan loves Revolutionary War stuff. This statue is the guy that led the battle. Nathan knew all about him.

Resting while waiting for the firing demonstration.

They put on a display and showed us how to load and fire a musket. Luckily, it had stopped raining so they were able to keep their powder dry!

Jeremy and the kids climbed to the top of the monument and Jeremy took these pictures from up high.

When we left Bunker Hill, it started to rain again.

We walked back through the pretty streets in Charlestown and made our way to the USS Constitution.

I loved the flower boxes on these houses!
