Papa and Grandma's House Day #4

This morning, Nathan went to town alone with Grandma Jane! They saw a backhoe, went to the grocery store, got a balloon, and went to the library.

When they came home, Grandma Pam was here! We had lunch and then headed over to the fair in Othello. It was the perfect sized fair for a 3 year old! It was $1 day so adults were all $1 and kids were free. Rides were only $1.50. So it was a cheap, fun afternoon.

Here are some pictures!

We all rode in Papa and Grandmpa's truck. I sat in the back with the kids. Nathan wasn't impressed with the photo taking.

Nathan riding in the fish. They moved up and down a little and he didn't like it.

Elizabeth was such a good girl in the stroller. Here she is with Papa Norm and Grandma Pam

On the carousel with Grandma Pam

Nathan was more impressed with the "cute and fuzzy" stuffed ducks on top rather than the real ducks in the cages

Nathan LOVED watching the kids in these balls.

Nathan wasn't too impressed with the animals. The sandbox and Poseidon balls were his favorite things.

Nathan's favorite part of the fair was the "wheatbox." Basically a sandbox with wheat in it.

Papa and Grandma's House Day #3

Reading a bedtime story with Papa (right before Nathan pushed Elizabeth over)

Playing the piano

Nathan likes to sit at the "tiny table" and eat snacks. Here, he is watching a Thomas video we got at Grandma's library. We also got 12 Thomas books at Grandma's library.

Elizabeth loves to sit with Papa in this little cozy spot in the chair.

Grandma and Grandpa's House Day #2

We had another fun day at Grandma and Grandpa's house! We played outside and went to the library. Papa and Nathan raced boats and rubber ducks in the ditch. The duck always won! Both kids took nice naps in their rooms this afternoon and were very good. Fabulous day!

Checking out all of Papa's tractors

We visited the library and got 12 Thomas books and 2 videos!

Nathan was amazed at how big the bucket on one of Papa's tractors was!

A Trip to Grandpa Norm and Grandma Jane's-Day 1

Bathtime in Grandma's sink!

This is dark, but all 3 of us are eating apples!

More apple eating

It was a long day.

Jeremy has to spend the next week at a training for work. I thought it would be fun to come visit my parents. There are many fun things here for the kids to do.

Our first day went well. We left right after lunch. Both kids were fantastic. We drove for about 2 1/2 hours. Each slept for about 30 minutes. I don't have the kind of kids that sleep a lot in cars. I wish I did! However, even Elizabeth didn't throw a huge fit. That was nice.

We've done fun things already! Picked apples, played in the ditch, played with some new toys Grandma got (parking garage and crane), had a nice dinner with cupcakes for dessert, and took baths in a new tub (and sink).

Both kids are now tucked in bed. Nathan is sleeping in Laura's old room in a twin bed. Elizabeth is in LeAnne's old room. The grandparents bought a crib so that makes things easy.

Papa Ray and Kim visit!

Papa Ray and Kim came over to visit us this weekend. They were camping down near the river.

Friday night, we went down to have dinner with them. Papa Ray prepared a Nathan safe meal of chicken, potatoes, corn, and melons. Plus oreos of course! It was fabulous. Nathan had fun checking out the camper. He liked the "little house" on wheels. I think he and Dada are making plans to go with Papa Ray in it sometime.

The campsite was right along the river and there was a really neat bridge there that reminded Nathan of Sodor!

They also came over to visit on Saturday, so that was fun.

I forgot to take my camera to the campsite, so no pictures...

Elizabeth is 7 months

Elizabeth is 7 months old!

She's very good at sitting now. She's eating a lot of fruits and vegetables. She's finally taking more regular morning and afternoon naps. Still getting up twice every night!!

Elizabeth eating an apple

This baby LOVES to put things in her mouth. (Nathan never put anything in his mouth until he was 11 months old). Here she is gnawing on an apple with her 2 teeth!

Nathan likes to watch me put makeup on. Here, he pretends his ducks need makeup too.

Fun at the River

We live really close to the Spokane River. Sometimes, we take Nathan down there so he can play with big sticks and throw rocks in the river. Here are some photos of the last time we were there!

Elizabeth in the tub

Elizabeth LOVES playing in her little tub.
We used to put the tub in the sink. However, she started splashing SO much, we have now moved the little tub into the big tub where she can splash away and not make as big of a mess.

Fun with Grandparents
