Jeremy's 39th Birthday

Jeremy had his 39th birthday a few weeks ago. Luckily, he got home just in time before the kids had to go to bed so we had time to open his presents and have cake for him.

He had a yummy cheesecake.

He opened some presents. This year, he had quite a few from Harbor Freight!

Math Night

For some reason, the kids are not allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Halloween. The night before Halloween, the PTA hosted a fantastically fun math games night. There were board games and card games. The families and friends could play the games together. We had a good time! The kids dressed up and got to see their friends Halloween costumes.

We were playing our game when Nathan noticed all 3 of his Wiley teachers standing together and he said "Hey, there are all the teachers I've had at Wiley!" Well, of course since they were all there literally standing in a row, I had to go get a picture! Nathan didn't start at Wiley until 2nd grade (when the school boundaries changed)  and he has had the same teacher for 4th and 5th grade. Therefore, he's only had 3 teachers!

Elizabeth's Rey hair.

Jeremy shuffling some cards. I think it's funny that Nathan looks kind of sad, but he's really not. It's just the face paint!

Playing the games

This picture was actually getting ready to go out on Halloween. Wrong blog, but same idea!

November 1st sunset

We had a beautiful evening and sunset on Nov 1st. Luckily, it was 65 and windy so we had a nice walk around to look at the skies.

Here was the sky just before sunset.

Minutes later, it looked like this. It was a beautiful sunset!

Halloween 2018

Halloween 2018 featured Rey from Star Wars and J.J. Harrison the rodeo clown. I contacted J.J. and he told me where to purchase his jersey. Nathan just loves it!

Elizabeth and Charlotte. Charlotte was a baby doe.

Nathan decided that he didn't want to trick or treat. He wanted to just pass out candy. Jeremy and I took turns out with Elizabeth.

There was no fighting over who rang the doorbells! It was Elizabeth every time.

Nathan did a great job handing out candy. He also kept a chart of what all the Halloween costumes were. At the end of the night, he confirmed that animal costumes were the most popular.

Eventually, he decided to just trick or treat on our street and just around the block so he did get some candy.
