Bundling Up!

It got cold really fast this year and the last week it's been really cold getting to school. One of my favorite things to do is bundle the kids all up. They look so cute!! Here's Elizabeth all bundled. I like how the Children's Place always sells coats that have matching hats and gloves.  I also got Nathan the coat and gloves, but he prefers to just wear a sweatshirt. 

Jeremy's 40th birthday party

We had a 40th birthday party for Jeremy the weekend before his birthday since he has to work on his birthday. 

The skies and trees were looking really pretty for pictures!!! 

Elizabeth gave the tour of Grandma Pam's house. Here, she showing off the chicken coop. 

My neighbor makes cakes so I had her make a milk and egg free cake for the party! 

Everyone sung to Jeremy.

Papa's birthday

Papa and Gram came down on Papa's birthday and we had a cake and singing. 72 candles!

Cats in Hats

Auntie Laura and Gram have become quite the cat ladies since a mother cat and her kittens showed up last June. Laura decided to dress all the cats up as characters from Harry Potter and take pictures of them for the Vet Clinic's "Pet Costume Contest." I was recruited to take a few pictures of these cats in hats.  The cats were dressed up as all the "Defense against the Dark Arts" teachers.

Midnight is wearing a sparkly hat with LOTS of sequins to portray Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. 

We were unable to find a few other cats the day of the photo shoot. Eventually, Laura and Gram got photos of Polly the cat as Snape in a black hat and Pippa the Dog as Professor Quirrel in a purple turban. 

October Activities

We try to get in some final outdoor activities in October before it gets too cold. 

Elizabeth enjoys skating and biking around.

Goodbye Old Couches, Hello New Couches!

Before the new couches arrived, Elizabeth was very sad to give up the old couches. She said they were the only couches she had ever known and had had her baby picture taken on them every month holding that little pink teddy. So we took her picture with the little teddy once more before the old couches got delivered to a friend of Jeremy's from work. 

The new couches arrived!  We got 2 couches, a striped chair, some end tables and we are still waiting on Jeremy's recliner. 

I think we now need to get a few lamps to go on our new end tables.
