Piano Lessons

Nathan has a goal to be able to join the Steel Drum Band at school. He loves that band! He wanted to know what he could do to prepare for tryouts in a few years. That answer is piano lessons! He started his lessons a few weeks ago. So far, so good! He's still playing on the black keys but is learning which finger is which, how to count, and how to rest. This week he is working on the differences between forte and piano. It is hard for him to play piano!!

Here he is practicing. Papa Norm and Gram were so nice to let us have their old piano so that a new generation of kids could learn to play!

Waiting outside his teacher's house. He loves the binder he uses to keep his books and flashcards!

Snow Mountains

Just needed to throw up a picture of the kids running across the snow mountains in the church parking lot.

Cascade Mountains

Jeremy and I went to Seattle last week and I took some pretty pictures of the drive.

We went the Snoqualmie Falls way and made a quick stop by the falls. It was 45 degrees so I thought it would feel warm compared to the 10 degrees it was at home. Yet it somehow still felt really cold?

Elizabeth has been begging me for bangs for a while. They will take a bit more maintenance, but hopefully her hair is straight enough they will lie flat and not be too much to work with. Here she is with her new bangs.
