We drove from Vermont down to Liberty State Park in New Jersey. It was such a perfect day. Not too hot and we took a walk down the boardwalk to look at the skyline of NYC. We also saw the Statue of Liberty from behind. At least we've seen her from the front before!
Ellis Island. We didn't take the boat ride for Ellis Island or Statue of Liberty. It looked like quite the all day ordeal with a lot of waiting.

After this, we went to stay in Linden, New Jersey. We got a little turned around on the Jersey Turnpike and had to go around twice when we took the wrong exit because there was no way off to a side street!
