Spring Break Road Trip Day 4-Zion National Park- Emerald Pool Trails and Riverside Walk

Our next morning at Zion, we took the shuttle bus into the canyon. First, we got on a shuttle bus from our hotel to the park entrance. Then, we got on ANOTHER bus to take us into the park. No cars are allowed during peak tourist season.

The park sign early in the morning.

A picture taken from the bus-this spot of 3 identical rocks is called "Court of the Patriarchs."

This is where we got off for our first hike. It was at the Zion Lodge.

We did the Emerald Pools Hike next to walk around and look at nature! There were 3 pools and we managed to see all 3. They weren't terribly impressive this time of year.

There was a waterfall that came right over a cliff! You could stand under the rock part and not get wet.

Some lovely views from the walk.

After we finished that walk, we had lunch and then did the "Riverside Walk." This was a very busy trail as everyone was heading down it to go to the Narrows Hike. That's a hike where you walk through the water between the slot canyons. We did not do that.

The end of the hike! At this point, you had to hike off into the water. You can see people doing this behind Elizabeth. They were hiking up the very narrow canyon. They had to wear drysuits as the water was so cold this time of year.

Back at our hotel! Elizabeth did some more swimming today even though it was only 70! Too cold for me, but I guess the pool was heated.

Some family pictures from along the trail.
