Spring Break Road Trip Day 2-Bryce Canyon National Park

On day 2 of our trip, we got to add a new state to our list! Utah! None of us had ever been there before! We drove through the valley near Salt Lake. It was very pretty with snow covered mountains surrounding all of it! It was impressive. It was also interesting it was 70 degrees in the valley and still there was all that snow up in the mountains.

After passing through the valley with snow covered mountains, we made our way to Bryce Canyon National Park. We stopped at the Red Canyon going in. It was an area with very red rocks and mountains! We then went to Bryce Canyon and ventured down into the hoodoos on the Navajo Trail.

Posing with the sign

This is the famous "Thor's Hammer."

A view of the park looking out into the hoodoos.

We then took the Navajo Trail to descend down into the hoodoos.

Here are some pictures along the trail. It was very steep going down into the rock formations so the walk back up was challenging! It was such a surreal experience though so very much worth it!

You can see Jeremy, Nathan and Elizabeth walking back up the steep trail between the tall rocks.

See the 3 of them?

The views were spectacular and unlike any we had seen before!

Here we were driving into the park through the Red Canyon area. They had some neat little tunnels.

Here is the red mountain.

They climbed up into the red rocks a bit. Elizabeth was very impressed to have a trip with SO MANY ROCKS!!

I had to throw in a picture of driving down the Salt Lake Valley and looking at so many pretty mountains all around us!

A new state!

Family selfie stick!
