Snow Family

We had more snow yesterday. It started snowing while the kids were at school. By the time they got home and had their snacks it was nearly dark. They didn't care! They headed outside in the darkness to build snowmen and throw snowballs at each other. They were out in the dark for almost 2 hours.

This is their snow family.

Church Christmas Concert

The church Christmas concert was held last Sunday. This year, Elizabeth got to put on her angel wings to sing! Last year, she was a shepherd and didn't think those costumes were as pretty.

She's all lined up and ready to go. Somehow, we teachers got all those angels wings on with 2 minutes to spare.

I will feature a picture of our best classroom assistant: Nathan.

She wanted to wear her sparkly purple outfit.

Looking like an angel...

Lined up waiting to go sing.

One of her friends from kindergarten at her school.

Jeremy took these photos and this is when she saw the grandparents. She got pretty excited.

All the kindergarten angels awaiting their turn to sing.

Elizabeth waiting and looking at Jeremy to get her picture taken.

Jeremy's view of the waiting.

She's up at singing!

Reindeer Fun

Santa and his reindeer came to Beaver Bark again this year. Jeremy and Nathan went for a visit. Elizabeth did not want to see the reindeer. She and I were at a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.

School Photos

I loved these picture frames my Mom had when we grew up. It was so fun to add our new picture every year! Mom still has them hanging on the wall now!

I found some frames I liked and have now started Elizabeth's picture progress too!

Lighted Boat Parade

We will be celebrating our 4th Christmas here and had never been to the lighted boat parade on the Columbia!
Either Jeremy was working, we had a law enforcement ball, or it was too cold.
This year, none of those things happened so we went to the celebration! Unfortunately, I got no decent pictures of the lighted boats out on the water. They just didn't turn out well in the dark with my camera.

Before the boat parade, they had some excerpts from "The Nutcracker."  After that, they let all the little kids come up and dance with the ballerinas to pieces from "The Nutcracker." Yes, Elizabeth is in snowpants. It wasn't snowy. They were to keep her warm when we were watching the lighted boat parade. It actually worked out really well! Nathan said he was too embarrassed to go up and dance so that was ok.

They had some great holiday light displays! Here are the kids beneath a lighted tree.

All along the path down to the river, they had little displays like this. It was really neat! We only did  a picture in front of the police car.

Olaf and The Grinch were wandering around. They didn't want to go anywhere near the Grinch!

Elizabeth's favorite part of the boat parade was finding this gross dead fish washed up on the shore. She actually picked it up by the tail and brought it to show me. Nice, huh?

There are some boats out there. I should have had Jeremy take pictures. His camera is better!

Go Cougs!

A friend of mine had a picture of her daughter in a shirt like this. I asked where she got it and she said that her sister made them! I had her sister make a couple of these cute shirts for the kids. 2030 and 2032 sure seem like they will be very far away!

Snow Day!

Last week, we had a 2 hour delay one morning due to 3 inches of snow! The kids spent the 2 hours playing outside.

They are big fans of snow angels.

Filling buckets with snow is another favorite activity in the snow.

As usual: shoveling.

Nathan kept making animal heads out of snow and bringing them in to show me. This one was called "horse" head.

Pippa's Ice Cream Party

Pippa had an ice cream party. However, the party had a sad ending. Pippa had turned 14 in June. The lifespan of a doodle her size is 12-14...
