Nathan's Jog-A-Thon

Nathan's school had their Jog-A-Thon Fundraiser today. It was great fun!

The kids ran around a 1/4 loop. Every time they came around, a parent helper would mark off that they did a lap (and they would get drinks). They ran for an hour. At the end of the hour, the ladies in charge counted to see which kids ran the most laps and they got a prize.

Nathan just kept going  the whole hour. He stopped for drinks a few times, but just kept going! If we had known, we wouldn't have dressed the poor kid in a long sleeve shirt and pants this morning! He was hot!

He said he liked to walk the shady part on every lap to take a little break and get cool.

Jeremy and Elizabeth (and some other Moms) helped circle the laps on the kids' lap cards.

Here is Nathan's kindergarten class after the run. Nathan managed to run 14 laps (3 1/2 miles) and tied with another boy in his class for running the most laps. Since he ran the most laps, he got a fun prize!

The kids all got a ribbon.

The class was supposed to make a straight line, but somehow made an L shape instead.

Heading back to class after his run!
