Practicing Magic

Here are a few pictures I took awhile ago of Elizabeth practicing her magic tricks.

Some kind of "disappearing under the cup" trick.

Snow Day #5

Today is Snow Day #5! Hopefully, today will be the last full day of no school. It's finally stopped snowing this morning and is supposed to get REALLY cold.

The kids have been busy digging tunnels. Here is Nathan peeking out of one of his.

Scrambling through his tunnel.

Elizabeth built a snow cave to block the wind. She pretends she's a little arctic fox that curls up.

With help from the 12 year old next door, they were able to build her a tunnel.

Sledding down the huge snow berms.

Snow Day #4

Snow Day #4

No school today. We're now going through June 14th!

We had another couple of inches this morning. It's still snowing here at lunch time so who knows how much more we will get!

Working on his snow tunnel. He's going to dig all the way through!

Charlotte came over to play.

3rd Snow Day

Another snow day today! No school for the 3rd time this winter. I probably shoveled around 5 inches today? As of today, they are going to school until June 13th. I really hope it's not longer.

However, we're supposed to get another 1-3 inches tonight so I'm not holding out hope there will be school tomorrow either!!

The only good thing about snow days are that the kids get lots of time to make snow fun.

Supposedly, this is the most snow we've had here in 20 years.

I went around taking pictures of our mounds of snow so we can remember how much we had this year. I doubt we'll get snow like this again for a LONG time. We've had snow on the ground since December 6th. That's unheard of in the Tri-Cities! Over a month with snow??

There is quite a lot! I estimate 9 inches on the ground?? And we might add another 1-3 inches tonight.

Well, at least it isn't as much as we had in Spokane in 2008!

Rock Companions

When the kids watch their shows on weekend mornings, they usually set out their favorite stuffed animals to watch with them.

Elizabeth's new obsession these days are rocks. Today, I found her watching her show with her bunny watching on one side, and her favorite rock on the other. It cracked me up!

More Snow

We got another 5 or 6 inches of snow the other day. Today, the kids were supposed to head back to school because Christmas break was over. There was a 2 hour delay. We are getting quite a bit of snow this year!

Very bundled up.

Snow Angels

Neighbors came over to play.

The day after. Didn't Jeremy do a great job shoveling out paths with no ice? I was super impressed. My shoveling is never that clean.

Pippa's Ice Cream Party

Pippa had an ice cream party. However, the party had a sad ending. Pippa had turned 14 in June. The lifespan of a doodle her size is 12-14...
