Big Cross Invite-Pasco WA 10/1/22

Nathan ran at the Big Cross Invite put on by Pasco High School. His covid cough is better and he had a GREAT race. He got a PR of 19:36.
He ran in the freshman/sophomore JV race. He got 2nd place out of 44 runners! He was the fastest Hanford runner out there today for JV including the juniors and seniors.
They also had a junior/senior JV race. It was much smaller and we wondered why the JV didn't all just run together. We checked his time and he would have gotten 2nd place in that race as well.
Therefore, he would have been 3rd place overall for all 73 JV runners!
His strength is running up hills. He likes to pass people on hills.

9th/10th Grade JV warmups.

Nathan coming around the first loop.

Coming into the finish line in 2nd place. We all watched the first place guy run through and were pretty shocked and excited when it became evident that the #2 runner was Nathan!

Since the race was in Pasco, it worked out well for Jeremy. He simply stopped by for the race! It only took 20 minutes after all! And Jeremy can be on patrol at the same time.

Hanging out under the shade before the varsity race.

Nathan topped the Hanford freshman/sophomore JV runners today!  There were 24 runners.  There were a total of 30 runners of JV races today from Hanford with all grades included. Nathan was the fastest today!

Here are the race results with everyone included. There were 44, but it cut off the rest.
