Nathan at 10

Nathan is 10 years old today!!

He had a "ten"nis lesson this morning at ten o'clock on this tenth birthday. He thought that was neat.

Nathan is 77 pounds and is 4'7" (55 inches). His stuffed animal collection is now 144.

When he grows up, he says he wants to study Animal Science at WSU.

He still just loves to read.

His favorite books are Tuesdays at the Castle, Dragon Spear, and Harry Potter.

His favorite shows/movies are Star Wars, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Despicable Me, Epic, Big Hero 6, and My Little Pony.

He still plays Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia and My Little Pony games with Elizabeth. He also likes to play Star Wars games by himself. He likes to play Star Wars apps. He is really excited for the new Star Wars movie that comes out in December.

He gained 2 food allergies (or possibly just intolerances) this year unfortunately. He now can't eat bananas or pumpkin (seed or canned). He continues to be allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts, and kiwi. Of course, he also has many environmental allergies too. We go to the allergist later this week. That's always a fun visit.

We think he may also have Oral Allergy Syndrome where some fresh fruits (melons) and vegetables (carrots, avocados, etc), make his throat and mouth itch a bit. Jeremy has Oral Allergy Syndrome so we know what to expect. At least that's not deadly!

He finally has braces on all his top front teeth. The orthodontist claims he only has 3 more months of this and then he will be done with this whole ordeal! He's had something in his mouth since January of 2016 beginning with that horrible expander. They've done nothing with his bottom teeth yet. We're hoping none of them are crooked enough to need braces and after 3 months, we're done!

Nathan enjoys doing projects with Jeremy. He enjoys going out on the boat with Jeremy. He enjoys fishing when he actually catches fish. He enjoys playing outside at all times if possible. He also enjoys target shooting with his bb gun and would like to get more involved with archery.

He's still in piano lessons and  plans on trying out for the school steel drum band next year for 5th grade.

At school, his favorite subjects are reading, art, and science.

Sports he is interested in are swimming, running, biking and soccer. Swimming and running are his favorites. I've had him taking tennis lessons, but he doesn't like tennis.

Here are a few things he doesn't like:

1. Tennis
2. Clothes shopping
3. Wearing a tie
4. Classmates that are mean to him or don't follow the rules.
5. Anything that has to do with dressing up and looking nice. (This drives his mother crazy!)
