Purple Track Meet at Hanford

Nathan ran the 1600 and threw the discus at a home league meet. All 3 teams there were purple colors! Pasco, Hermiston, and Hanford. It was kind of amusing although harder to figure out who was who since no reds, oranges, blues,  or greens popped out.

I managed to grab a quick grandparents photo this time!

Tennis @ Southridge

The JV tennis team went to Southridge. They took 12 teams. Elizabeth's team was ranked 6th this time. They managed to win 8-3! It was windy today so the ball would sometimes go flying off in a direction it was not intended to take!

Davis Invite @Eisenhower High School Yakima

Nathan was invited to run the 1600 at the Davis Invite in Yakima. He ran a 5:09! Papa Ray and Kim and Grandma Pam all came to watch as well. I didn't grab a picture of them all quickly enough.

Track @ Kamiakin

This was the one day of the spring sports season that overlapped and I had to choose which kid to go watch! Elizabeth doesn't like being watched that much, so I went to Nathan's track meet at Kamiakin where he ran the 3200 and threw the discus. The 3200 is basically the last event so I was there a long time. Luckily, Jeremy got off work at about the same time Elizabeth's tennis match ended so he just picked her up! It was a good tennis match to miss. They played Walla Walla and lost 1-6. Elizabeth said the score looks really bad but it was really them getting to 40-40 every time but then losing the very last point.

On to the track meet.

Well, the pictures loaded backwards so this is Nathan crossing the finish line. This was a small 3200 group so they ran the boys and girls together. Elizabeth's bestie was in the race too! The pictures aren't great as the race was happening as the sun was very low.

This picture is funny. The Kamiakin runner in front just crossed the finish line to win while lapping Nathan. Nathan had just lapped the girl behind him right then. So the Kamiakin guy had lapped her twice. Everyone was in a different part of their race when you run boys and girls together!

He was the only Hanford boy in the race so got lots of advice from the coaches.

Last Day of School

School is over for the summer! 11th and 9th grade are done! We have a SENIOR now!
