League Meet #2 was at Lawrence Scott Park in Kennewick. Both kids ran although Nathan probably shouldn't have. He had a terrible cold and had even missed a day of school a few days before it was so bad. When he doesn't go to school, you know he's feeling super sick. Before his race, he said he couldn't breathe out of his mouth or his nose due to mucus. We were hoping he would develop gills, but he did not. He wanted to run because the week before he had run so well, he had earned a spot on varsity today and he didn't want to miss that chance. Due to being sick, he ran nearly a minute slower on this course than he did last year. He ran an 18:11 for 3 miles. Elizabeth ran a 24:52 for the 3 miles.
