Plymouth Plantation

We went to visit the replica of Plymouth Plantation. They designed it so it looked as much like the original settlement as possible. It was neat because they had people walking around who were pilgrims from 1625. When they talked to you, they were from 1625 and knew nothing of the future. You could ask them questions about anything relating to their life or the past.

They had the houses set up to look as closely alike to what those original homes may have looked like. One of the girls told me that everything in the homes, they had to bring on the ship.

Elizabeth especially enjoyed checking out the little gardens that were with every home.

They also had a Native Ameircan Wampanoag  village set up.
This was their winter home.

This was their summer home.

The kids in the canoe.

People of the Wampanoag tribe today who came and showed their skills in cooking and weaving.

The kids got to watch a demonstration on how pottery was made at that time.
