Drive to New York

My Aunt drove us into New York City which was super nice of her since it was 2 hours one way! Plus, she had to hit traffic heading back home! She took us through Sag Harbor.

Sag Harbor

Here we were in Queens.

Eventually, we could see the skyline of New York. It was a really neat site to see for the first time!

I kept taking pictures because I had never seen a skyline so filled with tall buildings before.

We drove through a tunnel...

And popped right out in Manhattan! My aunt's apartment is right near Union Square. She dropped us off at her building and went to find parking in a garage several blocks away. She then walked back. She showed us around the apartment and we had a fire safety discussion. She gave us some tips and pointers. Then we hugged goodbye and thanked her profusely for all the nice things she had done for us over the last several days. Then, we were left to ourselves to explore the big city and she had to fight horrible traffic the whole way home! I felt so badly.

Our first stop was the subway. We easily figured out how to buy 4 metrocards. We used a neat app to navigate the subway around the city.

Our first tourist stop was the Met.
