We spent the 2nd day of our trip driving across Montana. We drove from Missoula to Broadus. It took around 7.5 hours. Our big stop was at the Little Bighorn Battlefield.
Somewhere in Montana
Beautiful scenery
Anaconda Smokestack
This big smokestack was built in 1919 and is 585 feet tall. It's the tallest free standing bricks structure in the world.
Continental Divide (our windshield was covered in bugs)
We then made it to Little Bighorn National Battlefield. My great great grandfather's brother died here at this battle. His name was Patrick Golden. The ranger helped us find out some information about him and told us where he fought and approximately where he died.
On the second stone down on the right hand side, you will see Patrick Golden's name listed.
We found the area Patrick Golden was in and found the approximate place he was killed. It was around this area.
Elizabeth got a new stuffie at the gift shop.
We stayed at a nice little hotel in Broadus called the Sagebrush Inn. It was right across the street from the Post Office!
