Elizabeth at 16

We went to the DMV on her exact birthday right after school to get her enhanced driver's license. They let us get an 8 year one! She will be 24 before she has to renew. Afterwards, she got a free Dutch drink on her birthday!

Papa Norm and Gram wanted to get a new Subaru Crosstrek so they sold us their old Subaru Crosstrek. Elizabeth now drives a 2018 Subaru with 120,000 miles.  She loves it!

She's trying Duplixent for her eczema. It's a biologic which we'd been tentative to try but it does seem to help quite a lot. Her itching is WAY better and not nearly as many red itchy spots cover her body. Her knuckles and hands aren't bleeding nearly as much as they usually do. We're not sure insurance will continue paying for it since it's $8000 a month for them so that could be a problem if she gets used to being on it and it really improves her quality of life and then it gets taken away. So far, insurance is covering it.  Her food allergies remain the same. Peanuts, sunflower seeds, and hazelnuts.

She's 5'6" inches tall and about 120 pounds. She usually goes to sleep around 9:30 or 10. Her alarm wakes her just before 6:00. She gets a chauffer drive to school every morning. They leave at 7:15 and get to school a little after 7:35. The final bell to start school rings at 7:55.

She will soon be driving herself to school! Once they are doing different sports in the springtime, she can just come home if Nathan isn't done with practice.

Her favorite foods are yellow rice, chicken, shrimp, salmon and donuts.

She's a 10th grader! Her favorite classes were Kinesiology 2 and French 3 and Language Arts. She isn't a big fan of chemistry. She's had a great school year and liked all her classes and teachers. Of course she made new friends!  Her goal of straight A's continues.

For school activities, she ran JV cross country again. It was rough as her shins caused a lot of pain again but she has such a good time with her friends. She had her big PR at the Richland Invite this year. She didn't bowl this year like last year as it wasn't her favorite sport.

I'm writing this way after her birthday so she just finished her 10th grade tennis season. She loves tennis! She made HUGE improvements this year and played JV #1 or #2 singles all year. It was so much fun to watch her play and she loves it so much. She got the "Most improved" award for the team. She will continue taking summer tennis lessons at CBRC and at Hanford to continue to improve her game.

She will start back up with running this summer so she can run 170 miles to get to the Olympia Invite. 170 miles is required by the coaches to reach the meet.

Her favorite books right now are the Shatter Me series. She continues to read a lot!

She likes to play Minecraft with her friends and SIMS alone. Her favorite toys are still squishmellows. Her favorite color is still green. Gwen is her favorite friend to hang out with. She still loves wearing earrings. She enjoys painting and doing little crafts with cardboard.

Overall, she is a very happy and fun 16 year old who is leading a great life so far.

Sweet 16 party!

Elizabeth turned 16! She had her birthday party a few days before her actual birthday. She invited all her besties and all the family.

One of her best friend's Mom is very good at baking cakes! This was the cake Elizabeth requested.

We got some fancy looking plates (that were actually plastic) to go with her fancy looking cake!

We bought a set of decorations to make the house a little more fancy than usual. Making the balloon arch wasn't as hard as I thought.

The girls all jumped at the big trampoline place to begin the party.

Then, they all came back to the party!

The Grandparents came too!
