Trip Day 3-Kennedy Space Center

We visited Kennedy Space Center today!!! It was VERY hot out again. Luckily, most things were inside.

We took the bus tour first which took us past the Assembly Building. It's a lot bigger than it looks! They built full size Saturn 5 rockets in here.

Here's a closer view.

We then got to browse around in the Saturn 5 building. We had seen another Saturn 5 before in Houston so this was identical.

We then got back on the bus and went back to the main center. We headed over to the Atlantis exhibit. It was our first shuttle! But not our last of the trip!

Elizabeth has a new squish. She named it Astro.

Atlantis close up! Close up, it was much different than I thought. The outside pieces looked like quilt pieces that had been pasted on. I assumed it was all smooth siding, but that was not that case! It was just surprising.

A huge afternoon rainstorm rolled through. It just poured rain and thundered. We went inside to watch a movie during this time, but got a bit wet running inside!

On the way home, we drove by Blue Origin.

When we got to our hotel that night, we headed right to the beach after we ate. It was very warm, but the sun was just setting so not so hot.

The water was amazing and warm! It was around 83 degrees. It felt really nice in the evening without the sun beating down on us.
