The next day, we drove the Desert View Drive road. It has different stops where you can look at different viewpoint from the park. We eventually exited out the East Entrance. The day before the East Entrance had been closed and we had to take a huge detour through Flagstaff to enter through the South Entrance. So we were lucky they finally opened the East Entrance back up the day we left! At least we didn't need to detour twice! The East Entrance was closed for a year due to Covid and the Navajo trying to have less people driving through their nation. They have vaccinated enough people now and the cases have dropped very substantially for them so they are slowly opening things back up.
