Staten Island Ferry and Statue of Liberty

Our next tourist stop was the Staten Island Ferry. It was a free ride across to Staten Island with a view of the Statue of Liberty on the way!

Looking over to the Brooklyn Bridge.

The Staten Island Ferry terminal was very pretty!!!

Looking back at the New York City skyline.

In the distance, we could see the Statue of Liberty!

Ellis Island

We pulled into Staten Island.

We basically got off, and then got on another ferry to take us back across.

After we finished our ride, we walked around a bit. This is a statue of Erikson. He's the guy who build the "Big Bad Ironclad." He's a star in one of Nathan's favorite books about the Civil War so Nathan was thrilled to come across a statue of him!

This was the prettiest subway entrance we had seen!

Our next stop was Wall Street.
