We made it to another state! New Jersey! My aunt was extra nice and arranged for a car to take us to Newark Airport.
When we got to the airport at 4:00, we found out that our 6:00 flight was postponed to 9:00 PM. Since we were stuck in the Southwest Terminal for 5 hours, we let the kids open their new lego sets and build. That took an hour off the long wait!
By the time we made it to Denver at 1:00 am, we had missed our flight to Spokane. We waited around in baggage claim for over an hour. We then got our luggage and got a ride to a Days Inn where the kids slept for 4 hours. I did not sleep. I was too worried about waking up to catch our 8:00 am flight to Spokane.
The only thing that late night in the Denver airport that put a smile on everyone's faces was a big doodle being carried through the airport in the picture above. I guess it was too tired to walk at 1 am.
Our plane ride from Denver to Spokane was from 8 to 10 am. That meant we got the Spokane at 9 am. After picking up our luggage, we drove home and were home by lunch. Here is Elizabeth after she woke up in the van when we were nearly home. She had a big morning nap. When we got home, Jeremy and I took turns taking naps!
