Portland Head Lighthouse


We headed up to Maine to visit Uncle Brian and Aunt Karen! We were very happy the day was overcast. It was very humid but the cloudy skies kept it nice and warm...not too burning hot!



We drove out to the Portland Head Lighthouse. It was only like 10 minutes from Brian and Karen's house. It was a very pretty lighthouse. It was in Port Elizabeth, which made Elizabeth very happy! As you can see, Nathan got his stuffed animal for the trip while here. It is a lobster. 



I love to catch pictures of them running and playing. 



George Washington planned for the lighthouse to be built. The lighthouse was was finished in 1791 and President Washington came up for the grand opening!
