Elizabeth had her first cross country meet for 8th grade in Walla Walla. She had fun on the bus ride helping everyone get 2 ponytails in their hair with ribbons and they used face paint as well.
I didn't go to the meet as she really wanted me to attend her open house which was at the exact same time. Papa and Gram went instead. She ran the 1.5 miles in 19:18. However, she rolled her ankle during the race. She would miss the next 3 meets due to a combination of her ankle and then the shin splints she would get when she ran a mile to see if her ankle was better! Checking to see if her ankle was better caused the shin splits so that plagued her for her last 2 meets.
Her 8th grade team was amazing. They won every meet!!
