Whitman Mission

We drove down to Walla Walla. Jeremy wanted to visit a specialty hardwood store to buy some wood for his woodworking. We also wanted to take Elizabeth to the Whitman Mission. 4th graders study Washington State history. The big 4th grade field trip was going to Fort Walla Walla and the Whitman Mission. However, those did not happen this year due to covid. We figured we could at least take her to the Whitman Mission since Fort Walla Walla was closed. 

We walked to the top of a hill to check out the monument for the Whitmans.

After that, we drove home. That took less than an hour. It was a good daytrip!
