Steptoe Butte

Due to coronavirus, we had to cancel our big road trip to the Grand Canyon and 5 Utah National Parks. We have decided to take a few day trips around the state being careful to not go places with many people. We also wear our masks when needed and are extra careful about hand cleaning.

We hadn't been to Pullman in like 6 years so decided to take a trip over. Our first stop was Steptoe Butte. It is a state park. We had never been there before!! The views from the top were beautiful! You could see a long way in all directions! We preferred the side that overlooked the Palouse. We took a bunch of pictures.

At the bottom of the hill was a picnic area surrounded by wheat fields. We took a few pictures there too after we had our lunch.  There sure weren't many people around. We didn't even have to wear masks the whole time.

The view of Steptoe Butte from the road. It didn't look tall from this angle, but it really was!
