Braces!

Elizabeth got braces today! This is her second phase orthodontics. During the first phase a few years ago, they fixed her bite and gave her room. During this phase, they straighten the teeth and do a few other things. She had them put on during our semester break day so she didn't have to miss school. She will have to wear them between 16-18 months. Her mouth hurt very badly for probably 5 days as she got used to them. It was painful to watch! Now, she will go in every 6-7 weeks to have them adjusted and tightened. she chose pinks as her colors today as it was just before Valentine's Day! She says she's going to do green at her March visit for St. Patrick's Day!

Snow Day!

 1/6: Snow Day

We got some winter weather at the beginning of January. We had a 2 hour delay on Jan 5 and then we got 6 inches of snow that night from Wed into Thursday. We had no school Thursday due to snow. On Friday, a chinook wind came in and pretty much blew away the vast majority of the snow. When I was doing recess duty that day, a random old Christmas tree blew onto the playground! The kids thought it was great and wondered where the tree had come from. The principal came and hauled it off to the dumpster. They called him the grinch.

Christmas Eve

 

We made it back home for Christmas Eve. Jeremy had to work all of the Christmas days so we celebrated with him when he got home from work on Christmas Eve. I made ham and potatoes and we opened gifts. Jeremy went to bed early since he had to work this next morning. 

The kids got new tablets this year as their old ones were slowing down and not working as well anymore.

A Fashionable Christmas

Elizabeth had been wanting a poncho. Ever since she spun around in the Christmas tree skirt, she wanted to find something to wear that was like that. Gram got her this cute poncho! She wanted to put on a fashion show in her new clothes and hats.
