Sunflowers
Our yard now has GREAT grass. That is a plus.
However, we haven't done much landscaping or planting of anything pretty or tasty. That is the next project.
When we moved in, we planted a packet of baby sunflowers (where we knew we'd eventually have a flower bed).
They're finally here! They are facing the sun too!

Dad snuggles
Elizabeth and Daddy watched some Winnie the Pooh.
They didn't plan this! Both were wearing Cougar shirts and khaki shorts today!

Garden Edging
This will be a very dull post but I just want to keep track of what we do in the yard.
Edging is complete around part of the garden!
One little cherry tomato plant took up half this garden space. Luckily, we still have another garden space, but we might need more!

Art Projects
These children do "art projects" all day long. "Art projects" are just things they make up and decide to do.
For example, in this picture, Elizabeth decided to paint a paper towel roll. She's calling it Rapunzel's tower.
Nathan has a very ambitious project going on. He's making Elizabeth a kitchen. He's finished the microwaves. Now, he's gluing these colorful packing peanuts together and stacking them to make them look like cabinets.
A lot of "art projects" also means a lot to clean up every day...

A late birthday with Papa Ray and Kim
Papa Ray and Kim came with birthday presents! Lucky Nathan! He had such a rough time with being sick and missing his birthday.
He got a fun Mr. Potato Head, some art supplies and a fun car ramp toy! He's been playing with all of them ever since and has been "sketching" in his new art book every day!
Elizabeth got this fun big bunny. She had fun playing with Papa Ray!
Playing with Papa Ray is always fun.
Discussing ways to not have fun.
That garbage bag is full of wrapping paper.
Nathan thought this was just great!

He made it on the bus today!
The bus stopped today to pick Nathan up! It looked like there were about 4 other kindergartners already in the seats. I saw him sit down quickly next to the girl he met yesterday. Looks like he has a friend! After he gets on the bus, there are about 20 more kindergartners to go pick up!
He likes riding the bus but has voiced concerns for the past 2 days about the fact he does not wear a seat belt.
