Olympics 2012-Day 6-Water break

All athletes need to stay hydrated. These athletes have stayed VERY hydrated this summer. The house we've moved into has a fridge with water and ice in the door. Oh yes.

They've never had this particular feature before and it is quite a hit. They would spend all day getting cold water and ice in cups. Needless to say, our kitchen floor is VERY clean due to spilling lots of water. We just mop it up!

Elizabeth likes to eat the crushed ice. Is this bad for her teeth Auntie Laura?

The swingset is still in our backyard! The kids love to practice on the rings. They're little gymnasts!

Olympics 2012-Day 4-Synchronized napping

No, this is not a real Olympic sport, but it takes real talent to synchronize your napping on top of the couch.

Olympics 2012-Day 3-Triking

Actually this is more like chariot racing. Elizabeth kept yelling at Nathan to go faster. It was hard for him to pedal up even this small little hill in our driveway.

Olympics 2012-Day 2-Uneven Bars

Ok, there aren't actually 2 bars, but the kids enjoy just 1 bar! It's on my treadmill actually. Perhaps not such a good thing...

I think Nathan wins today! His form looks much more controlled.

Olympics 2012-Day 1-Swimming

We've been watching the Olympics around here. Of course, the kids have been pretending they are Olympic athletes. Here's a recent breaststroke race that occurred in our house.

Swimming through the kitchen. Notice they are paying close attention to their breathing? It's neck and neck at this point.

The baby pulled ahead at the very end to win the race!

Reading with Papa and Gram

Papa Norm and Gram came down to see our new house! Papa Norm brought cherries! Elizabeth and Nathan had fun showing them around our new house and yard. Elizabeth wanted to read them some books. She likes to memorize her books and then "read" them to people.

Pippa's Ice Cream Party

Pippa had an ice cream party. However, the party had a sad ending. Pippa had turned 14 in June. The lifespan of a doodle her size is 12-14...
