Halloween

The kids had another fun Halloween. Here they are just before trick or treating. Nathan dressed up as Napoleon Dynamite. He got the shirt, the sweat pants and the snow boots!! He got to wear his costume to school today. The school did the jog a thon fundraiser today. He thought he could run 2 miles and instead he ran 5 miles in that 50 minutes!! I guess he can run a steady 10 minute pace. He is going to be SORE tomorrow.  

Elizabeth was a Crazy Cat Lady. I think she got this idea from the 2 crazy cat ladies in our family. I will not mention any names but they have 6 cats they now care for. They are currently trying to make sure that it STAYS only 6 cats. 

Nathan stayed home and passed out candy. I took Elizabeth out and she trick or treated with Charlotte who was also dressed up as a Crazy Cat Lady. A few people made comments about how great they thought their costumes were.  It was a cold night, but luckily no wind so as long as you had the right clothes on, it was pretty good!

There was a really pretty sunset tonight so I kept taking pictures. 

This is what her hair looked like under her wig. Maybe next year she can go as Cindy LooHoo! 

Bundling Up!

It got cold really fast this year and the last week it's been really cold getting to school. One of my favorite things to do is bundle the kids all up. They look so cute!! Here's Elizabeth all bundled. I like how the Children's Place always sells coats that have matching hats and gloves.  I also got Nathan the coat and gloves, but he prefers to just wear a sweatshirt. 

Jeremy's 40th birthday party

We had a 40th birthday party for Jeremy the weekend before his birthday since he has to work on his birthday. 

The skies and trees were looking really pretty for pictures!!! 

Elizabeth gave the tour of Grandma Pam's house. Here, she showing off the chicken coop. 

My neighbor makes cakes so I had her make a milk and egg free cake for the party! 

Everyone sung to Jeremy.

Papa and Gram came down on Papa's birthday and we had a cake and singing. 72 candles!

Cats in Hats

Auntie Laura and Gram have become quite the cat ladies since a mother cat and her kittens showed up last June. Laura decided to dress all the cats up as characters from Harry Potter and take pictures of them for the Vet Clinic's "Pet Costume Contest." I was recruited to take a few pictures of these cats in hats.  The cats were dressed up as all the "Defense against the Dark Arts" teachers.

Midnight is wearing a sparkly hat with LOTS of sequins to portray Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. 

We were unable to find a few other cats the day of the photo shoot. Eventually, Laura and Gram got photos of Polly the cat as Snape in a black hat and Pippa the Dog as Professor Quirrel in a purple turban. 

October Activities

We try to get in some final outdoor activities in October before it gets too cold.
