A little running

Jeremy was trying to get back into running after his really bad cold. He was running slow around the track so Elizabeth joined him for a few laps. 

A late birthday with Grandma Pam

Grandma Pam was nice enough to come babysit on a day the kids had school but I had to work. Thanks Grandma Pam! Elizabeth received another birthday present.

Nathan's last Skate Night!

We had our last school skate night of the year. It was also Nathan's last skate night ever! You can't come to skate nights in middle school.

March 12- 3 Hour Snow Delay

We got more snow last night! The school district used one of their new "3 hour delays" for the first time. You don't have to make up a 3 hour delay. Here are the kids in the snow before I drove them to school. They still can't walk because the sidewalks are covered in super deep snow and walking in the road is dangerous and super icy and slick. 

However, it appears that today really should be our last snow event of the year. March 12 is just so late for big amounts of snow. It's supposed to FINALLY begin melting! 

I think our total for the year was 6 snow days (we are only making up 4 of them), 3 two hour delays, and 1 three hour delay. 

A late birthday with Papa Ray and Kim

Papa Ray and Kim came to visit!! They brought birthday presents for Elizabeth  and Kim brought this AMAZING Easter wreath for me! 

The highlights of Elizabeth's presents included legos and unicorns.

March 6 Snow

We got about half an inch more snow last night but they didn't call a delay! When the kids got home, they played outside in it for a bit. Then, it started freezing rain. Winter doesn't want to end!

March 2 Snow photos

Well, March has arrived with no snow melt. Here are some pictures of Elizabeth on March 2nd. The kids still have to wear their boot and snowpants to school every day. We are having a very deep freeze. Today is March 4th and it was 3 degrees this morning! It still looks just like this 2 days after these pictures were taken. 

She says this is her Snow Throne and she is the Snow Queen. 

Snow still in the backyard.  It started snowing February 4th and it's pretty much all still here. Maybe a little melted off but it's mostly just packed down. We haven't seen our yard or our street in a month now!
