Last Day of School

Today was the last day of school! We were supposed to be done a week ago, but had 5 snow days to make up. Nathan is now a 4th grader and Elizabeth is now a 2nd grader. Here are their pictures on the last day. Nathan was very sad so I'm lucky I got some smiles.

Boat Sunday

We went out in the boat yesterday. The weather was just perfect! Not too hot, not too cold.

We saw some pelicans.

Jeremy drove the boat from Richland across the Columbia to Pasco. We pulled up to the dock at Chiawana Park in Pasco. They just put some new toys in at the park so the kids played on those for awhile. Jeremy relaxed in the boat. When they were done playing, we just left from the dock and drove back across the Columbia. Never pulled up to a park from the water before!

The kids loved this swing toy. It made me sick watching them go around like that. Uh.

Our roses are looking more amazing. It's hard to get a picture that shows how great they look.

Spring Piano Recital

The kids had their spring piano recital yesterday. For the spring recital, the teacher actually had 2 recitals so that she had time to give out awards.

Here is the smaller than usual group because half had the next recital.

Here is Nathan receiving his awards.

Here is Elizabeth heading up to play her duet.

Sunset Tonight

We had an amazing sunset tonight. Part of it looked like the pictures I've seen of the Mt. Saint Helens eruption. It looked like those ash clouds!! Except it had a pink tinge....

All the neighbors were out looking and taking pictures.

Tadpoles

Here is Elizabeth looking clean at 8:00 am.

This day, the kids spent more time pulling up weeds and putting them in the whirlpool.

Down they go!

Nathan drove us around.

Later that evening, the kids found tadpoles in the ditch. So many tadpoles!

Observing tadpoles in her hand.

Elizabeth at 8:00 pm. A bit dirtier.

After a bath, she snuggled with Pippa.

Pippa's Ice Cream Party

Pippa had an ice cream party. However, the party had a sad ending. Pippa had turned 14 in June. The lifespan of a doodle her size is 12-14...
