Elizabeth and the Crazy Waves

Fun at Great Wolf Lodge

Our second day at Great Wolf Lodge, I brought out my camera to take a few pictures of all the fun! Although cameras around water is a bit scary!

Here's Elizabeth in front of the wave pool. Behind her are the "Crazy" waves. She didn't like the "Crazy: waves as much as the rolling waves. The crazy waves kind of threw her around. Between waves, the pool would be calm for a while.

They had a giant bucket that dumped 1000 gallons of water every so often. She's standing near where it happens.

Nathan spent most of his time on this waterslide. 

He slid down this slide over and over. Jeremy and Elizabeth went down it too sometimes on a double intertube.

When the fun with water was over, they took part in a "Mystery" adventure. First, we had to buy an expensive stuffed animal with a LED chip inside its paw. Then, they went around to computers that talked to them.

Great Wolf Lodge

The next stop on our trip was to Great Wolf Lodge. It's a fun indoor waterpark. We spent two days there. These pictures are from the first day. I didn't take any pictures in the water park the first day because I was in the water.

Each night, they do a storytime for the kids. When the kids were done playing in the water park, we gave them baths and put on their pajamas. Then, they headed down to story time! All people that go to the lodge get "free" wolf ears so the kids like wearing theirs. 

A story was read and one of the little characters was out and about. 

This was actually breakfast in our hotel room the following morning. We woke Elizabeth up early so she was grumpy. 

A visit to Montesano

Since we were out at the beach, we decided we had to swing through Montesano to check out Jeremy's hometown. We drove by his schools and his Mom's old house and neighborhood. 

We took a tour of the courthouse. It was built in 1911! It wasn't a long tour, but that was ok with Elizabeth. 

Then, we visited Jeremy's old elementary school. The kids played on the toys and had fun running around. 

They liked that there were cows next to the playground. 

I was most impressed with the fact that the play areas outside were all covered! Here's Jeremy in one of the play areas.

You could walk around the school in the shade!  Jeremy informed me it was really for the rain. 

We then headed down to Great Wolf Lodge. On the way, we swung by Papa Ray's houses and showed the kids around the circle.
