Fun at the Beach!

We spent the next day of our trip at Ocean Shores. It was SO COLD for me. I wore 2 jackets and was still cold. As long as I sat on the side of the car that was out of the wind, and in the sun, I was ok, but gosh it was cold! It was like 65 and the wind was blowing strongly. The kids didn't mind as much. 

Our hotel had a balcony which the kids thought was really neat! 

The hotel had a little viewing tower shaped like a lighthouse. The kids enjoyed going up there to check out the view. 

Nathan said the spiral staircase made him dizzy. 

Zoo Trip!

We just got back from a big trip! Our first stop on our big trip was to visit Bryan and Amy. They were so nice and took us to the zoo! 

We watched a show that included a flying dog. Yep, a dog is flying a little plane. 

The dog found a golden bone! Pippa could use one of these!

Elizabeth made some new friends! Here she is sliding with Robert. 

The boys were very nice about sharing and let our kids play with their toys. Nathan enjoyed the trains. 

Elizabeth's new friend Gavin let her play on his teeter totter. They had a lot of fun on there! 

They even let us stay at their house! Bryan did a fantastic bed time storytime. Much more exciting then mine!

I found a 13 year old dress

Today is our 13 year wedding anniversary! My wedding dress was put in a box 13 years ago and forgotten about. We pulled the box out of my parents basement a few months ago. We decided our anniversary was a good day to open the box and see if the dress was all wrapped up in plastic. It was just wrapped up in tissue paper so Elizabeth and I played princesses! 

She had to put on her princess dress to match me. 

The Royal guard showed up with his broken sword and bow and arrow to protect the queen and princess from all ills. 

Then, Elizabeth decided since my dress was so big, I should use the WHOLE couch as my throne and she would sit by my side as princess. Then, the Royal guard came and we gave him orders. 

He brought the princess a matching crown. 

It is a puffy dress! I sure loved that dress. Today, I remembered why! Happy anniversary to us!

4th of July Fun

Here are some picture of what we did on the 4th of July at the grandparents. 

Nathan helped Papa mow the lawn on the brand new riding lawn mower! 

Slip and Slide was fun. They slid down and ran up about 100 times until they got into a big fight that ended with Elizabeth whacking Nathan with that inflatable thing. 

Auntie Laura had some festive and sparkly red, white, and blue nail polish! Elizabeth sure loves when Auntie Laura paints her nails! 

We went up to see the fireworks at George. Here are the kids waiting for the big show while watching everyone else light off their fireworks.

Gram was dog sitting so Pippa wasn't scared and frightened and all alone when the fireworks started.
