Swimming with Gram

Jeremy was working 4th of July weekend. I decided to take the kids up to the farm. I didn't feel like a million fireworks this year! Gram has a nice friend who let us go swimming in her pool. 

Nathan swam around like a shark and tried to bite Gram. 

Elizabeth showed Gram all her swimming moves. One of her moves involved some kicking and she actually broke Gram's glasses and gave Gram a big owie. 

I got this picture at just the right time as he fell into the pool.

Birthday 7's

My birthday was a few days ago. Jeremy decided he was going to make my favorite meal for lunch. That's breakfast for lunch! So he ran off to the store to buy some things he needed to make eggs, bacon, and french toast. 

When they rang up the total, he noticed that the total for the lunch was $7.77! My birthday is on 7/7!! What a funny coincidence!

Birthday Party

Elizabeth's friend had a fun birthday party down by the carousel and Splash Park. They each got a carousel ride. It was so nice of the Mom. 

Nathan had to get on the cougar.

Roller Skating

It's been really hot out lately! Day after day of 100 degree temperatures. We do a lot of swimming. However, one day, the kids and I headed to the Rollarena one Wednesday afternoon to keep cool. Apparently, not many people had this idea as it wasn't too crowded. At first, Elizabeth needed a lot of help, but got a lot better! When she got tired and rested, she would let me skate and count my laps for me. Nathan found out that 16 laps is one mile so he tried to skate as many miles as he could. 

Water Fun

Pool and Slip and Slide. They will play out there for hours. 

Sliding on the grass. There was so much water from the slip and slide, it started to flood the neighbor's yard. It got put away. 

Ice Cream

This is one of Jeremy and my favorite summer evening activities. The kids can't eat it, so we have it after they go to sleep! 

A Cat Wedding

Elizabeth and Nathan's cats got married. It was quite the affair and took a lot of time for them to set up! Every stuffed animal in the house came out to line the hallway. Elizabeth's cat wore lots of bows in her fur and Nathan's cat brought down a pony tail to use as a wedding ring. Here they are dancing at their wedding. It was pretty hilarious.
