Monday morning, we left South Padre Island and headed up to Houston. It was a 6 hour drive so that was most of our day. We bought tickets to the Houston Space Center when we got there that late afternoon to use the following morning.
The shuttle is a replica, but it was still neat to see exactly what it would look like!
Falcoln 9 rocket from Space X. This one has been in space a few times since Falcon 9's are reuseable.
Inside the Space Center. A lot to see!

At the time of our trip, these were some ISS astronauts. The middle astronaut Kayla is from Richland!! She was a Bomber! We have been tracking her time on the ISS on the internet.
3D printed Saturn V.
Delorian from Back to the Future. This was in a future space travel display.
Site of Mission Control. The current ISS Mission Control is here, but we were not allowed to see it.
This is the historic Apollo Control Center. It is preserved in its original condition.
They had some cattle there on the site. We like to think they were cows that jumped over the moon that NASA brought back. Doubtful, but why else would these cows be here?
We drove to Lafayette that night. Here was a neat looking bridge.
