House Painting

We have been busy house painting!! It's been taking up all of Jeremy's extra time for sure! The smoke set us back 10 days. Also, some days were too hot or too windy.

The house is 7 years old and the paint was starting to fade pretty badly. We didn't want the house to look badly for long, so decided it was the year to paint. It was very hard to pick a color! We ended up with "English Hollyhock."  A nice neighbor lent us their sprayer and we stocked up on brushes, plastic, and blue tape. Jeremy sprayed and I did trim. Nathan and Elizabeth were helpers. They grabbed things we needed and held things.

The last picture is the "mostly" finished product. The shutters still need to be put back up. We painted them a dark gray. We are also still deciding on what color to paint the front door. Should we keep it a gray? Or go with a fun yellow?

We started painting August 30 and "finished" the end of Oct. We still have the shutters, door, and Jeremy has some touch up in some places. That might not get done until spring since it seems too cold/windy to paint now. We are trying to get the shutters done inside the garage.
