Allergy Testing

The kids had their annual allergy visit.

Elizabeth's allergies remain the same. She has severe allergy to peanuts, tree nuts and sunflower seeds. However, her eczema is FINALLY improving. This has been wonderful.  She's not scratching and bleeding nearly as much and her skin looks so much better!!!

Nathan still has his severe allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts and kiwi. Over the last few years, he's also been unable to eat squash, pumpkin, bananas, peas and now apples.

He also has oral allergy syndrome which means that fresh fruits and vegetables can make his mouth itch to the point where he doesn't want to eat them. Watermelon, cantelope, baby carrots, avocado fall into this category.

Pictured above is a full allergy panel of environmental allergies. He's allergic to most everything in the environment except a few molds.

The doctor thinks starting him on allergy shots will help his oral allergy syndrome and will possibly allow him to eat some fruits and vegetables that we have had to cut out. He can't eat so many things that even being able to eat avocado again or watermelon would be a big help.

We ordered the allergy serum and he will have shots twice a week for awhile. We hope the pain isn't too much. Jeremy takes the shots and he feels it's helped with his oral allergy problems and with seasonal allergies.
