Elizabeth's birthday

 

Elizabeth had her favorite dinner and opened presents on her birthday (after Solo and Ensemble). The next day, we had some cupcakes and Auntie Laura and Papa and Gram came down for that. She didn't want a party this year.

Auntie Laura got the kids Valentine's presents of coats and shoes!! 

Elizabeth wanted a lot of candy for her birthday! 

Elizabeth at 13

 Elizabeth is 13! She's 99 pounds and is 5'3" tall. She grew over 3 inches in the last year! 

She usually goes to sleep around 10:00 and her alarm wakes her at 6:23. I drive her to school around 7:20 and if she rides her bike in warmer weather, she leaves about 7:25. She has no neighbor kids to walk/ride with anymore so I drive her more than last year. 

Her favorite foods are ravioli, cheese, yellow rice, chicken, shrimp, salmon, pork, and donuts. 

 She's a 7th grader! She is doing great in middle school.  Her favorite classes are science orchestra. Her least favorite is leadership. 

She's had a very rough year sickness wise. It seems she is constantly catching the next thing. This started around last year. In the last year, she's had covid twice, multiple colds/viruses and influenza A just before Christmas. Today on her birthday, she has yet another cold! From 2020-2022 she had just a few colds and then this past year got hit super hard. 

She started cross country in the fall. Sadly, the season kind of fell apart due to an ankle sprain while running inside due to wildfire smoke and then as she was getting better she got covid for the second time. She plans to run track starting next month so we will see how that goes with injuries and sicknesses just plaguing her! 

She says her eczema is doing better than last year. Winter is always the toughest time of year for her eczema and she itches a lot and can be quite miserable. Her allergies remain the same. Peanuts, sunflower seeds, and some tree nuts. 

 She likes reading the Tally Series. She doesn't read as much anymore. She spends so much time doing homework. Her goal is to have over 95% in every class. 

She likes to play War and Monopoly but people don't like to play these games with her (they are so long!) . Her favorite toys are squishmellows and snow. Her favorite color is pastel lime green. Charlotte and Caitlyn are her favorite friends to play with. 

She is amazing and a fabulous girl! We are so happy to have her! 

Spongebob

 

Hanford High had a musical called "Spongebob: The Musical." Elizabeth loves Spongebob and it happened to be showing on her birthday. So, after Solo and Ensemble and her birthday dinner, she and Jeremy went to watch Spongebob. 

Nathan had gone a few days earlier with his friends Landon and Malek. Everyone agreed it was an amazing show!! 

Solo and Ensemble-Reynolds Middle School

 

Elizabeth went to her first Solo and Ensemble at Reynolds Middle School. She was sad she had to go it on her birthday! Here is a picture of her ensemble performing. They did such a great job on their first try!
