Windrow Flower Farm
We went to visit Papa Norm and Gram last weekend. The kids helped Laura on her flower farm! Someone called needing bouquets quickly. Laura jumped into action and the kids helped make the bouquets.
They also helped Auntie Laura plant new flowers!

Park Play
We are having fun playing at the parks now that the weather is nice.
There are light saber battles of course.
Also, we visit the little library across the street from the park to pick out and exchange books!

Swim Team
The kids have started their summer swimming. This year, they are doing the Swim Team. Once the swimmers have learned all their strokes, they are invited to do Swim Team. They perfect their strokes and learn how to race. Swim Team is an hour long. They don't swim the whole hour as they do some diving and playing, but they swim a lot. They are pretty worn out when it's over!
Here is Elizabeth starting. The teacher times them and lets them know how fast they are going.
Nathan starting.
Receiving instruction from their teacher.
Nathan working on his breaststroke.
Their teacher giving them some backstroke tips.
There are 2 goldendoodles there who wish they could supervise. The bigger one is not allowed out because he likes to jump in the pool with the kids.

Salmon Summit
The 4th graders raised salmon from eggs. A few weeks ago, the 4th graders released them into the Columbia River. There were about 1000 4th graders there. I think every 4th grade in the Tri-Cities raises salmon.
Jeremy was a chaperone.
Nathan releasing his salmon.
They went to some presentations.
Nathan got to use a fire hose.

Spring Break Day 9-Drive Home
Since we left New Orleans at 6 am New Orleans time, we were in Seattle at 11:30. After getting back into the car, we just drove home!
The weather was to be expected on the west side.
But SNOW in the pass on April 9th?? Luckily, at that point, it wasn't really sticking thank goodness.
The kids were asleep.
Luckily, by Ellensburg, the weather did what it usually does. The rain went away and the blue skies and wind appeared.
We got home Sunday afternoon and even though everyone was exhausted the kids managed to make it to school on time Monday morning!

Spring Break Day 9-Texas!
We had to get up at 3:30 on Sunday morning to make sure we caught our 6:00 flight home from New Orleans. We made it! Our first flight was from New Orleans to Dallas. No one had ever been to Texas before. We were barely in Texas an hour. When we landed, the sun was barely rising.
I took a picture of the kids in front of the Texas themed gift shop in the Dallas airport.
Texas!

Spring Break Day 8-Audubon Park
We visited Audubon Park in New Orleans.
They had a lot of really old (some 200 year old) Oak trees that were really neat.
The kids loved the toys.
I took a nice walk around the park.
I noticed a doodle snuck into this picture. Typical.
The kids were hoping to see alligators. They did not.
This was our last big touristy activity for the trip! We had to get up early the next morning to fly home.
