Elizabeth at 8 years old
Elizabeth is 8!
She is 52 pounds and 4'3" tall. She usually sleeps about 10 hours a night. She doesn't do that weird sleepwalking thing much anymore. I put her in bed around 8 or 8:15 and she usually goes to sleep at 9:30 or sometimes 10:00. I wake her up in the morning for school between 7:30 and 8.
She does not like school. She is in a rough class this year and it makes it hard for her to learn and she gets frustrated with how they do not listen and are disruptive.
Her favorite foods are bacon, noodles, mustard, chicken and yellow rice, burritos, mac and cheese, and graham crackers. This is mainly what she eats. She doesn't like any vegetables. She likes a few fruits. She does not get a lot of variety in her diet and she refuses to eat most foods.
Her eczema is still a problem. In the winter, her hands are just ripped apart from scratching. Her feet aren't as bad. In the summer, her hands aren't nearly as bad. She is still allergic to the same things as she has been. Peanuts, tree nuts, and sunflower seeds. Nathan started developing new allergies around 8 so I hope that won't be the case for her.
Her favorite subject at school is art. Her least favorite subject is PE and testing. Her favorite books to read are Never Girls and Chicken Trek. She is an excellent reader and does very well in math too. Overall, her teacher has no complaints and Elizabeth does very well across the subjects.
She enjoys playing with Nathan. They still play lots of imaginative games together. Some of her favorite games are Spud, Fly ups, roller skating, My Little Pony, and playing with her stair squares.
Some of her favorite friends are Charlotte, Josephine, Sophia, Cecilia, Madeline, Paige, Priya, and Gemma. She loves playing with her little friends.
She loves to play with legos and sew. She loves rocks. She is coming along well with her piano playing.

8th Birthday Party
Elizabeth turned 8 years old yesterday! We had a fun party here at the house. She planned everything. She wrote out a party plan, blew up her balloons and told me what stuff I needed to get for the party. Her theme this year was "Bubbles."
She opened presents with her friends.
Opening more presents.
About to blow out her 8 candle.
Enjoying her lemon cupcakes with lemon frosting!
We bought a bubble blower machine and all the girls had bubble wands. They did a lot of bubbles! They all took home a container of bubbles too.
All the girls.
Elizabeth and Grandma Pam
Elizabeth and Papa Norm and Gram. They left for Hawaii the next day!
Elizabeth and Papa Ray. Kim was sick!
Elizabeth and Pippa. For some reason, I did not get a picture with Auntie Laura!!!!
Family Photo
Me and my big 8 year old!
Two of Elizabeth's friends couldn't make it because they went to the father/daughter ball. As soon as the ball was over, they came over and we had another private party for them.
Elizabeth got 2 cupcakes and got to blow out her candles twice!
More bubble blowing fun.
She said she had a great birthday!!

Nathan's new beanbag
Jeremy was at work when he saw this beanbag thrown out with the garbage just after Christmas. It still had the tags on. Clearly, it had been a joke gift for Christmas that someone didn't want.
He arrested it and put it in the back of his police car to take it to jail. However, the jail didn't want it! So he had to bring it home. Nathan was thrilled to wake up in the morning and find this in his room. He had wanted a bean bag for awhile for reading in his room at night and now he has one. He also said he officially thinks he has enough of these "emoji" toys.
