Canoe vs. Motor Boat

Boat Rides

Alf and Lois invited us to lunch and a boat ride! Lois was so great about making sure all the food was Nathan safe. She bought special bread for him and even found cupcakes at a special store that were milk/egg free! He loves it when he feels included like that. He could eat everything she had at her table.

After a yummy lunch, we got to go on a boat ride and the kids went swimming.

Nathan got to ride in the canoe with Jean and Josh.

Elizabeth and Rachel rode at the front of the boat.

Alf did the driving.

Lois and I sat in the back!

The kids really enjoyed playing in the lake!

It was nice and warm out and the water was warm too!

Mt. Rainier was looking beautiful too!

The kids attacked Josh with water guns and tried to force him off his raft.

Elizabeth and Jeremy got a ride in the canoe on the way back from swimming.

State Capital

We decided to take the kids to the state capital building for a tour.

The kids and I are waving from the top of the stairs. We're just too small to see!

A very huge heavy old Tiffany chandelier.

Lots of marble in this building!

The House of Representatives. I didn't take any in the Senate.

In each chamber, all names of the 39 counties are posted in pairs. One of the pairs (I tried to zoom in) was Grays Harbor and Benton. Those are the 2 counties Jeremy calls home!

Nathan really enjoyed the tour. He asked a few questions and was interested in all the new facts he had learned. Elizabeth....well, it was a long 45 minutes for her. She was NOT interested. She did ok though and didn't have a breakdown so that was a plus!

Jeremy and Nathan

Nathan on the Water Slide

Elizabeth and the Crazy Waves

Fun at Great Wolf Lodge

Our second day at Great Wolf Lodge, I brought out my camera to take a few pictures of all the fun! Although cameras around water is a bit scary!

Here's Elizabeth in front of the wave pool. Behind her are the "Crazy" waves. She didn't like the "Crazy: waves as much as the rolling waves. The crazy waves kind of threw her around. Between waves, the pool would be calm for a while.

Here she is swimming in the pool when there were no waves going.

A picture of the water park.

A wave is catching her!

They had a giant bucket that dumped 1000 gallons of water every so often. She's standing near where it happens.

In the basketball pool.

Trying to climb up on a lilypad.

Nathan spent most of his time on this waterslide.

He slid down this slide over and over. Jeremy and Elizabeth went down it too sometimes on a double intertube.

Nathan going across the lilypads.

She hopped across.

How food allergy families do lunch. Sitting on the sidewalk outside the park. (We had to check out of our room at 11 so had no where to eat).

When the fun with water was over, they took part in a "Mystery" adventure. First, we had to buy an expensive stuffed animal with a LED chip inside its paw. Then, they went around to computers that talked to them.

Taking part in the adventure.

Elizabeth getting out of a waterslide.

The room key! How handy is this? It's waterproof and you just hold it up to your door.

Great Wolf Lodge

The next stop on our trip was to Great Wolf Lodge. It's a fun indoor waterpark. We spent two days there. These pictures are from the first day. I didn't take any pictures in the water park the first day because I was in the water.

Here's the outside of the lodge.

Here's the inside lobby area.

Here's a glimpse of the water park.

Each night, they do a storytime for the kids. When the kids were done playing in the water park, we gave them baths and put on their pajamas. Then, they headed down to story time! All people that go to the lodge get "free" wolf ears so the kids like wearing theirs.

A story was read and one of the little characters was out and about.

This was actually breakfast in our hotel room the following morning. We woke Elizabeth up early so she was grumpy.

Bonfire

Jeremy and Nathan went up to Ellensburg for a bonfire. Elizabeth was really sick and I stayed home with her. Jeremy took a few photos. Nath...
