Church Trunk or Treat

We headed to the church trunk or treat last night (after Elizabeth's preschool party). As you can see, Nathan was Thor this year. I think he just wanted the hammer. This is him doing his "Thor" pose.

Getting candy

They posed in front of the big Seahawk player.

After getting candy, they had arts and crafts inside.

Being a food allergy Mom, I had to prevent a disaster as usual. It's just never ending.

Elizabeth was coloring a paper. Another girl came and started coloring. Then, the girl got out a Reeses's peanut butter cup and started eating it. Boy, did she make a mess. Peanut butter got all over her hands. Since she was using the same crayons as Elizabeth, I told Elizabeth we would finish coloring at home. The girl wanted to be helpful since she saw we were leaving and grabbed Elizabeth's pumpkin to give to us. Peanut butter got smeared all over the top of Elizabeth's pumpkin. I had to find a bathroom and wash it off really well. It's amazing how well I've developed Hawk eyes since having children with these allergies!

Halloween Party at Preschool

Yesterday was the Halloween Party at preschool!! Elizabeth was Tinkerbell this year.

Here she is posing in front of the spiders

The class photo-her teachers were Rapunzel and Merida.

Heading out to parade through the other classrooms. This year, every one of the 8 teachers and directors was dressed up as a Disney princess. The costumes were REALLY nice. The teachers did an amazing job. Elizabeth was just in awe. As you can see in the picture, another teacher dressed as Snow White stopped by and Elizabeth just stared. We also saw Anna, Elsa, Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora.

They did fun Halloween centers! Here is the bracelet making table where they made patterns.

Playtime at the Playground!

We had some fun at the playground this last week before the weather turns bad. It seems right at the beginning of November, it always goes bad.

Jeremy also had some fun.

Don't try this at home kids.

Tooth #7 is gone!

Nathan lost tooth #7 today! It was the first time he lost a tooth at school so he was pretty excited about that. The bottom middle two have come in, but now he's missing the side ones.

Halloween Bunny

The Halloween Bunny arrived with Halloween baskets filled with art supplies!!

The kids spent the rest of the day doing art projects. They love doing art projects!

We played the game where you use a broom to push a pumpkin across the lawn. Papa Ray's broom broke.

He tried to take Nathan's, but it didn't work.

Nathan managed to win!

Tennis

Nathan finished his tennis program today. When he started the program, he didn't like it because it was too hard. Today, he cried when we left because he said tennis was his favorite sport and he would miss his coaches so much.

Alex and Tanner were fantastic coaches!

Blue Swingset!

Our play structure was looking pretty worn. The stain had just worn off. It was time to restain it! The kids decided they wanted a blue swingset!

Here is what the final result looks like.

Fall Block Party

We had a great time at the fall block party!

The garage was full of fun crafts and art projects. Here are Nathan and Lucas coloring their Halloween crowns.

A small petting zoo came! There were some cute ducks and a bunny.

Elizabeth and Charlotte swinging.

Pumpkin races. The goal was to use your broom to get your pumpkin to the finish line. Here, Elizabeth and Charlotte competed.

Elizabeth managed to squeak out a win. (She did have the better broom).

A few drops of rain fell. Luckily, not too many, but it was enough for a beautiful rainbow to come out for a few minutes.

The firefighters showed up! The kids were all over the truck and ambulance. Nathan is at the far right. Elizabeth couldn't fit and is standing.

The firefighters asked the kids things they should do on Halloween to stay safe. Elizabeth was the first to pipe up and said, "When you get home, dump out all your candy so Mom and Dad can check for allergy candy." She gets it!

Nathan and Jocelyn driving!

She was happy here, but was starting to fall apart. Too much stimulation just wears her out.

Elizabeth and Charlotte in the front seat.

Nathan in the ambulance. The paramedic knew Uncle Brian!

Nathan wanted to ride here.

The crew of kids (and me). Elizabeth was breaking down and wouldn't get into the picture without me. Then, she wouldn't even look at the camera.

A brave Star of the Week

Guess who was Star of the Week at preschool?

The star put in her own pink hair clips.

Here's her bulletin board at preschool.

Let's talk about how brave this star is.

1. The photo above is at the dentist. She had her 6 month dentist check up. The next week, she had all her baby teeth sealed. Not a peep. She was so brave!
2. A few days earlier, she had TWO pokes in one day and didn't complain a bit! I took her to the allergist to get her allergies tested. While there, we both received a flu shot. They poked the needle in and all she said was "ow." Then guess what we did? We drove straight to the blood draw place. There, she got ANOTHER needle stuck in her arm and they drew blood to test her allergies. She just sat there and didn't make a sound.
To document, we got her allergy test results back. She's definitely very allergic to peanuts and sunflower seeds. There were a few tree nuts that were questionable, but it might require her eating them to see if they become a problem. Environmental allergies are trees, grass, sagebrush, tumbleweeds, ragweed, cats (high), dogs (low), and dust. So basically everything. No wonder her eczema is so bad!

October Videos

October Park Fun

I took several pictures of us playing at the park a few days ago. It was a perfect fall day!

Dads are good at putting in ponytails.

Nathan likes to hide and pretend he's a spy.

We kicked around a ball.

The kids did some swinging.

We ran past the speed signs to see how fast we could run. Jeremy got up to 14 mph! (I snapped the picture too soon).

Nathan got all the way up to 9 mph.

Elizabeth got to 7 mph.

I got up to 13 mph.

They love the tire swing.

Sliding into rocks.

Bonfire

Jeremy and Nathan went up to Ellensburg for a bonfire. Elizabeth was really sick and I stayed home with her. Jeremy took a few photos. Nath...
