She has Talent!

Elizabeth's newest talent is painting with her feet! 

Here she is painting the letter "E" with her foot. 

She took and a break to look at her progress and she and her friend Charlotte were laughing. 

When she goes back to painting with her hands, she says it doesn't look as nice. 

Decorating the Christmas Tree

We decorated the Christmas tree this year! Normally, we wait until after Thanksgiving but this year, Jeremy goes back to work the day after we get back from our Thanksgiving travels and he wouldn't be able to join much in the fun. So we decorated yesterday! 

The kids love to decorate. 

Nathan could reach the high spots. 

Elizabeth picked a nice spot and just FILLED it with ornaments.

The Christmas Decorating Has Begun

I finally have a place to set up my Christmas village! Our big windows in the living room will work well. Plus, if one of the figurines accidentally falls out, it will land on carpet and hopefully not break!

I do all the work while the kids make towers out of empty boxes and dance around. Typical.

Games

While Nathan is away at kindergarten, Elizabeth invents games to play. They usually involve stripping down to her underwear as she doesn't want to get her clothes wet or get paint all over them. So....she's been spending a good deal of the day running around in her undies. She doesn't get too cold. I am always freezing so our thermostat is always set to 77 degrees winter and summer.

Hide and seek in the cupboard

Sink games. She could play this game for HOURS! She lines up and stacks plastic cups or organizes them by color or shape. Then, she fills them with water and ice cubes. 

Squirt Guns and Hats?

Lately, Elizabeth has been wanting me to take her picture ALL the time. Last night, she wanted me to take pictures of her in the tub with her squirt gun and pitcher hat. Interesting...

What teachers do at recess

When Nathan got home from school today, he told me a funny story from school.

"Mom, I had to go to the bathroom during recess. I usually don't have to do that. Instead of using the kindergarten bathroom in my classroom, I had to use the one in the HALL. Can you believe it?"

"THEN, when I was leaving the bathroom, I saw my teacher Mrs. G walking down the hall with another teacher! They were taking a tour! I always wondered what she did at recess time. Now I know she tours the school."

Happy 34th birthday Jeremy!

We couldn't find a "4" candle. We had all the other numbers up to 6 but the 4 was missing so we made due with a pipe cleaner!

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice came to Kennewick! The fabulous Auntie Laura decided to make it a special night with the niece and nephew so she drove down from Spokane to take them. I'm sure they will remember it forever.

Halloween 2013

It's a scary day when Bellatrix shows up!

She will duel with muggle children. 

And turn them into cute little fuzzy animals! They got lucky that they only got transfigured! 

They appeared to be happy about it though. See how cute they are?
